When un-hitching your trailer, review each checkpoint in reverse sequence.


Pre-Launch Checklist


  1. Insert the Bilge Plug.
  2. Load your Gear in the Boat.
  3. Stow the Trailer Cover.
  4. Pump the Gas Bulbs.
  5. Loosen the Bow Hook.
  6. Launch your Watercraft.
  7. Inspect your Trailer for Trouble Spots.



Hitch-Up Checklist


  1. Lower the Trailer Tongue on the Ball.
  2. Fully Raise the Jack.
  3. Tighten the Latch.
  4. Inspect the Connection.
  5. Attach the Chains.
  6. Connect the Lights.
  7. Fasten the Brakes.
  8. Check the Lights.
  9. Inspect the Trailer.
    • Are the Lug Nuts tight?.
    • Are the tires properly inflated?
    • Does the Tire Guard have enough Clearance above the Tires?
    • Are the Rollers and Bunks in good shape?
    • Is the Hitch Coupler clamped/screwed tight on the Ball?
      (Visually check from Underneath!)
    • Is the Brake Cable hooked up?
    • Is the Boat properly connected to the Trailer?
    • Do the Brakes and Car/Trailer Lights work?
    • Is the Brake Cable hooked-up to the Bumper?
    • Has the Trailer been Serviced within past 2 years?
